Chains count transactions differently. Solana’s number includes consensus vote transactions; Ethereum’s does not. Reading one as “N times busier” than the other compares two different things. So this page is built to compare each chain against its own history, and rows are ordered by market cap rather than transaction count. You can read whether a chain is busier than usual; you cannot read which chain is busiest.
Chain activity Daily transactions across 22 major chains
Collected daily from each chain’s explorer or public API. Block time is available for 19 of 22 chains, and average fee for 7 of 22 — the rest do not publish it. Missing cells are left as “—” rather than filled with an estimate. The comparison window differs by chain (6–8 days, because missing days and frozen upstream snapshots are excluded); each row states its own span. A value identical to the previous day almost always means the upstream snapshot did not refresh, so we label it “Upstream not updated” and leave it out of the change calculations.
